Configuring SPF and DKIM

Q:What is SPF and DKIM?
A:SPF (Sender Policy Framework) verifies that the messages your domains send originated from a listed server. In addition, it provides a list of servers approved to send mail from your domains & DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) verifies the sender and the integrity of a message.

Q:Why should I enable SPF and DKIM?
A:Both play a role in preventing email spoofing, spamming and phishing.

Q:How do i enable SPF and DKIM?
A:This is enabled by default if your mails are hosted by Safaricom. To confirm logon to cPanel admin console > Email Deliverability. The status should read 'Valid'

Q:What if i host my own mail server?
A:Logon to cPanel admin console > Email Deliverability > Manage > Edit settings as required.
