In this article you can find the guidelines on registration and activation of new domain names and web hosting.

Browsing as a guest user

  1. Domain Search  (type in the domain and choose an extension e.g. .co.ke)
  2. Click on Search tab to check availability of the domain name
  3. Add product to Shopping Cart
  4. Select Web Hosting Package e.g. Lite, Silver, Bronze…
  5. Confirm Package, Tax and Total Amount and Proceed to Check out
  6. Register Page for New Customer is Displayed for Customer to Fill below Details. 
    1. First Name
    2. Last Name
    3. Email Address
    4. Identification Number
    5. Customer PIN
    6. ID Document Type
    7. Password ; Confirm Password
    8. Address:  P.O. Box, City, State,  Post Code, Country
    9. Phone Number / Mobile Number
  1. Check the ‘I have read and agreed to the Terms of Service’ box then Click on Complete Order tab, an UNPAID invoice will be generated on your client area and to your email address. 
  2. After completing the order, you will be redirected to an invoice with the order and payment details.
  3. You be prompted to make an M-PESA payment using USSD Push or Paybill Option . 
  4. If you choose to use Paybill option, follow the instructions and complete the transaction you mobile device and enter the M-PESA Transaction Code on the screen.
  5. Else, if you choose USSD Push, enter your mobile number and a USSD push will be initiated where you will enter your PIN.
  6. You will receive a payment confirmation email and an e-receipt (PAID invoice)
  7. Invoice will be marked to paid and you will be redirected to the Order Confirmation page with the Order Number of your domain and web hosting service.
  8. Click on ‘Continue to Client Area’ to view your active domain and web hosting services.
  9. You will receive the Domain and Web Hosting login credentials with email set up info.
  10. The Client Area homepage will showcase all customer services, domains, support tickets, invoices (pending and paid up) and any Safaricom recent news with regard to the service.
  11. Click on any item e.g. Services, Invoices, Domains to view and manage them.

 

Browsing as a logged in user

  1. Click Log in to access the client area and selects the register domain option.
  2. Input the domain name in full and click on the Search button.
  3. If the domain name is not available, you will be able to view and choose other available domain name extensions.
  4. Click on Add To Cart tab and select Checkout button.
  5. You can include additional service when you click on “Click here to add a Hosting Package”  to add a Web Hosting package of your choice. A Web Hosting (Hosting) package will include capacity/space in GB, number of email accounts required.
  6. Select the preferred Hosting Package and click on Order Now tab. 
  7. Upon Reviewing the chosen Domain and Hosting Package and Price on the order summary, Click on the Check Out tab.
  8. Check the ‘I have read and agreed to the Terms of Service’ box then Click on Complete Order tab, an UNPAID invoice will be generated on your client area and to your email address.
